Luc on “Jocaste’s (grand-)daughter :
Jocaste’s (grand-)daughter is a suite out of my chamber opera Antigone and was specially composed/compiled for and dedicated to Marcel Andriessen and Wim Konink who performed Antigone over 40 times from the start. According to the myth Antigone is (via Oedipus) as well the daughter as the granddaughter of Jocaste, hence the title. The music is also from the opera, but the sections are in a different order and totally taken out of its originally conceived context.
