This very short piece was composed on request of Ian Pace, to whom this work is dedicated, for a concert at the Brussels Opera. I think the title speaks for itself, I composed the work in an extremely short amount of time. The structure is some kind of a mirror, even if the music doesn’t sound like that. It was supposed to be a kind of encore, or (indeed) to be played in between other more substantial works.
